Since 2003 the years this site has been designed and redesigned several times. I think this is the 4th. My husband hunts with and breeds Deutsch Drahthaar so this organization is special to me.

The site was built with WordPress so that the website manager could EASILY keep it up to date. Because all of the photo galleries were already on Picasa, we’ve kept them there and added a plugin that pulls them into the site.

The SEHC is one of eight chapters of Group North America and serves Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. GNA is one of 34 regional groups belonging to VDD.
The Deutsch Drahthaar was created in Germany in the late 19th century by a small group of dedicated breeders who set out to develop a versatile hunting dog that would satisfy all aspects of German hunting in field, forest, and water. This group of breeders succeeded in creating a versatile hunting dog that took its traits from the best dogs of the existing coarse hair breeds, cross bred with the shorthair blood. These ancestors included the Stichelhaar, Pudelpointer, Griffon, and the Deutsch-Kurzhaar.
